Covenant Corner Preschool

The goals and philosophy at Covenant have evolved during the past twenty years. Our philosophy is to make your child's preschool experience caring and loving. An atmosphere is created where all children are greeted warmly and encouraged through positive reinforcement. Our goal is to provide a fairly priced program so that young families can participate

The preschool is a multi-age program with children ages two through five participating in either a two, three, four, or five day program. Providing age appropriate activities for everyone adds a different dimension for each activity.

This is a secular preschool program located in Covenant Presbyterian Church.

The majority of the families come to Covenant Corner on the recommendation of previous preschool families.

Each child is an individual at our school. They come from all racial, cultural and religious backgrounds.

broken Cyndy has been in early childhood education for 20 years. The past 12 years she has been the Director/Lead Teacher at Covenant Corner Preschool, where she has implemented creative ideas and enjoyed watching the program grow. Cyndy is licensed in and has taught Montessori and previously worked in a Special Education classroom in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Vanna Ortiz -- Teacher

broken After a 12-year career as an energy policy analyst, "Ms." Vanna changed her vocational path and began teaching children at Covenant Corner in 2004, as her own daughters were finishing high school and college. Vanna has an MA in Public Policy from Rutgers and is certified in Early Childhood Education. She loves interacting with the students, their families and the Covenant Corner staff!

Amy Jaramillo -- Teacher

broken After my oldest son enjoyed attending Covenant Corner for 2 years and my youngest son started, a teaching position opened up. I jumped at the chance to work here! I am now certified in Early Childhood Education and love working with the children. I am excited for the years to come!

Jan Bothwell -- Volunteer Grandma

broken It has been a privilege and a pleasure to work and volunteer at Covenant Corner under the direction of Cyndy Christy and the guidance of Vanna and Amy this past year. After a career as a Registered Nurse, to once again be associated with young children, is a highlight in my life as a Senior Citizen. It is great to be called "GJ" (Gran Jan) and to know the joy of being a grandmother to many!
